Changed the relay and the brake switch problem still there. Make sure that each light is equally bright (side-to-side). Use 1/4 nutdriver to remove 2 screws in rubbery thing. The driver's side rear turn signal and brake light does not work.

Most spots would be at anchor points, junctions, etc.
- Check all the connections to the signal switch and trailer relay.
- Backup lights?
- Make sure that each light is equally bright (side-to-side).
- The signals are fused by the 4th fuse down (passenger's side) on the firewall.
- The guy went back and got me the ones I actually needed.
- I really appreciate all this.

Seems like you have some broken wires along the frame wing should go up driverside frame rail. We are also happy to advise on how you can save money at the shop. Did you really start scratching your head after you looked at your fuses and found all of them to be working? Some others don't consistently indicate flashing on the dashboard, or may not flash at all. If either of those conditions are not met, the switch is defective. So I pushed down on the brake and pushed down on the light and got a light.
Their is no adjustment I'm aware of on 98 GMC Sierra z71. Could it possibly be the turn signal relay? If the light is still dead, your bulb is dead , the contact is corroded , or is misaligned. Looking for vehicle trackers?
It could also be a relay, the box is located in the engine bay and the relay will be marked, but its unlikely to be the problem.
