In the GPO settings under the Root Path mention \\servername\UserDocs You need to set permissions on both Share level and NTFS Folder level permissions.

Even setting up a share folder on the main domain controller (dc1) didn't solve this issue. Always test ANY suggestion in a test environment before implementing!
