A case like this could easily cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The Nirsoft tool mentioned above was neat, but It displays the mouse with an hourglass, but after that, it does nothing. this content After that I left clicked on the Start Button and got and hourglass there, double clicking on the "My Computer" icon opened a explorer window and released the hourglass.
Tried selective start up without loading start up files and it had continues problems.
