It may not be the fix you want, but it will serve as a workaround until Realtek gets their act together. Anyway, I trolled through the boards and no luck but I picked up on something some one said regarding the Realtek HD Audio Manager. when it gets to loading the WAVE input DLL. I then went to the windows sound settings, and setup ythis card as my default input device and left the output on the Realtek. The Realtek solution described above does seem to work.

I did not change any hardware configs, as I went downstairs for literally 2 minutes. the only thing that works good with mic is windows sound recorder thats about it. In tools wrong mic was selected.

I'm testing Parallels at the moment and it is just perfect. My mic was working with everything else before, just not Skype!
