All of teh remote desktop services are running on both machines. I have Windows Embedded Standard 7 based thin clients. I ask because it would be interesting to know whether you can RDP into another different system from the one that's failing to make the connection.

Reply Radoslav July 27, 2012 Not worked for me 🙁 Uninstall of this update was successfull, then restart and install it once again but not worked. Yes, you can install the update on computers running Windows 7 SP1 that already have the RDP 8.0 update installed. How do I verify that the update package has installed successfully? By default, remote desktop is disabled in Windows 7. I disabled virus check and firewall, and also made sure to explicitly open the firewall to the specific ports. I've disabled the Avira firewall, and I've opened tcp connections on port 3389. Very strange. Remote Desktop Protocol Download Windows 10 Disable/Reenable the RDP resolves it.
